Violin and Viola Lessons with Grade 8 Violist

With almost 20 years studying music, I’m passionate about passing on everything I’ve learnt (and am still learning!) in my own musical journey!

I aim to keep my teaching open-minded, always seeking to adapt to the student’s individual needs and goals. My focus is on guiding students towards a better sound, technique and practice habits, in a way that makes sense to them and is rewarding, both in the short and long term.

We'll work on:
-A solid technique both for the bowing as for the fingering
-Bow control: finding a good, pleasant sound on your instrument
-A good, healthy body posture which will reduce the risk of pain and tension
-Aural development; training your musical ear
-Reading musical notation
-Understanding the musical language

*Who do I teach?*
All ages welcome! For younger children, I do strongly recommend in-person lessons where possible for the best experience.

*About Me*
Since starting with the violin at age 8, I’ve been through many teachers, workshops, seminars, ensembles and orchestras, as well as being surrounded by music both at home and in church. I’ve been through both informal, experimental approaches and formal classical training. These have shaped me into a well-rounded musician with strong foundations in classical technique, physical awareness and aural skills.

After finishing school in Argentina, I began studying Music Teaching at IUPA, a Patagonian University, specializing in Viola. Although I didn’t finish the degree due to moving to Wales for personal reasons, my time there gave me valuable pedagogical insight and hands-on experience, including chamber music and orchestral performance.

I’m now based in Llanelli, South Wales, where I work at Llanelli School of Music and Drama as a violin and piano tutor, alongside teaching private violin and viola students.
