Spanish tutor teaches students aged 11-18

I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Bristol studying Law and Spanish. Having recently completed my A-Levels, I understand the stress of wanting to succeed. Furthermore, studying a language can be seen as a daunting experience, but it doesn’t have to be. In order to succeed in Spanish, fluency is not required but confidence is. Confidence and accuracy is the difference between students that do well and those who don’t.

Speaking:
In my lessons, there is a heavy emphasis on speaking Spanish, encouraging students to make mistakes and learn from them. Without a doubt for both GCSE and A-Level there is a formula to do well and therefore I shall share this with you as a student and work together to achieve the best grade possible.

Listening:
Listening exams were always my least favourite, always thinking that the audio is too quick for my skillset. However, i noticed that incorporating elements of Spanish in my day to day life such as changing the language setting on my phone to Spanish, helped massively. This being said, there are many exam techniques which can enable you to do well and we shall work with each other by going through past papers and Spanish films to better our understanding.

Reading/ writing:
Vocabulary is the most important aspect here. The exam board does not require you to understand every word, but an overall understanding is required. My lesson are focussed on highlighting key bits of text in order to gain the mark and making sure that topic specific vocabulary is understood.
