I was Sergey's manager in the Every Child a Musician programme in the London Borough of Newham. I was delighted with Sergey's teaching and ability to deliver high-quality lessons in often challenging circumstances. I worked with Sergey for a number of years while I was music co-ordinator at a primary school in East London where every child learnt to play an instrument. He worked as a clarinet teacher and taught a great number of children in groups of 5. Simply put Sergey is one of the most brilliant and impactful instrumental teachers I have come across in my long career as a music lead. What always stood out in children who had been taught by Sergey was how technically secure they were that went far beyond the basics. His pupils always had great technical control and produced beautiful tone, all within the 1st year of learning. In fact I don't recall any pupil of his making anything less than good progress, with a great many of them making what I would call outsatnding progress. His teaching manner was always calm and clear fostering a great sense of mutual respect between himself and his pupils. Great teacher who I would be delighted were he to teach any of my pupils again!
