I have over 40 years’ experience in primary teaching both in the classroom and in tutoring. I quickly build confidence in my pupils in English, maths or humanities. I have a friendly approach and establish excellent and trusting relationships with parents and pupils.
I can quickly analyse any problems in order to provide a full individually tailored programme of support which will see pupils gain confidence and expertise in knowledge, methods, strategies and skills.
My lessons are flexible in terms of time and change. I work on Zoom which is easy, secure and reliable to access. I have immediate resources available for any needs that arise during the lesson.
I can work to support pupils lacking in confidence and understanding but also extend those who wish to apply for scholarships. I have a 100% record.

My lessons are tailored to your individual needs or requirements.
I find online lessons promote excellent progress and also avoid the necessity of either party having to travel unnecessary distances. Communicating by Zoom is very easy to set up and run, and comfortably effective.
Within this medium, I make use of the interactive whiteboard; also accessing appropriate especially prepared work sheets and the internet (if needed).
Occasionally, If apparatus or a text is required, I keep these costs low but expect pupils to have the necessary equipment. This is not normally needed for upper primary. However, if we are following a book, it is important for the pupil to have their own copy in order to read small amounts in between sessions.
My lessons are carefully planned and executed clearly and at the appropriate level. I have a huge success rate.
