I’m Max, a PhD mathematician offering maths tutoring in Leicester or online for GCSE, A-level (including Further Maths), and undergraduate students.

I have a doctorate in Mathematics from Lancaster University, a first-class master’s degree, and several years of experience teaching and supporting students at university level. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, from those who feel stuck or anxious about maths to high-achieving students aiming for top grades.

My approach is calm, enjoyable, and focused on understanding concepts rather than memorising methods. I spend tutoring time showing why things work, and helping students build confidence alongside exam technique. Lessons are always adapted to what you need, whether that’s catching up on content, preparing for exams, or strengthening foundations for university.

Sessions can be in person around Leicester or online, and I’m flexible with times.
