GCSE Maths and English specialising teacher

I offer a range of resources to provide assistance with GCSE Maths and English. I have a very patient approach and want the best for my students. I have been a qualified supply teacher for the last three years, but before that I worked previously for 9 years working specifically with pupils with additional learning needs to offer support for upcoming GCSE exams. This came in the form of producing shared mind maps, shared reading but also catering the lessons to interests of the students where applicable to keep them engaged and compelled by their learning. I would like to think that I can get the best out of every student and can promise that I will devote all of my time to providing the best learning resources for my students and to have an understandable and supportive approach throughout. I know first hand the difficulties and stress that exams provide, as I suffered from anxiety while sitting the exams myself. This caused me to drop short of the results I was aiming for (C's in both Maths and English). However I re-sat these exams an an adult 5 years ago and was able to gain the results I initially wanted (A in English and B in Maths). These resits helped me understand the importance of commitment and so this is a skill that I can provide as a tutor and a strength that I will aim to instil in future students so that great things can be achieved in the future
