Qualified maths teacher offering professional online tutoring for GCSE and A level

Advert description
I have taught maths in secondary schools for 9 years to all ages and abilities. During covid, i had to teach on line and started to tutor some local students. I found both of these enjoyable and immensely fulfilling.
I try to get students to enjoy the maths and see where it can be used in the real world. I love to do problem solving questions which require deeper thinking.
I tailor the lesson to the individual, based on their needs. This could be year 7 students wanting to move up a set to A level student require a grade for their university choice. At GCSE, i have worked with students needing to make a pass grade and those wanting to get the highest grade possible.

I am a qualified maths teacher and have been teaching for 9 years. I have taught all ages and abilities from year 7 up to and including A level Further maths. At A level, I specialise in applied maths such as mechanics and statistics. Prior to being a teacher, I was a teaching assistant and worked with very weak students and was able to get them to see the importance and relevance of maths.
I have been tutoring since lockdown and have found this so beneficial to students. I have seen how much more they can learn in a one to on situation without all the distractions of school.

I believe that students learn when they are enjoying it, and remember when they see the relevance. I try to make the topics interesting and show where they are used in real life. The new curriculum is based on problem solving and I like to get students to think about how they would find solutions to the questions. Understanding what is being asked is the foundation that we can build on. My enthusiasm for maths comes across very strong.
