Hi Students,
Generally, law tutors carry an unfortunate stigma of being more interested in lecturing rather than teaching and understanding the need of the student. Well, prepare to be a little bit surprised as this may not be the case with me. I believe that teaching law should be like telling an intriguing story encapsulating the masses. For this, I do not restrict myself to any particular methodology. I opt for various pedagogical methods often complementing and supplementing each other.
While studying with me you will learn the legal principles not only through mere statutes or case laws but through references to current affairs, movies, tv shows, art, book, novels, etc. An example of this is while teaching the role of ethics in law I generally request anyone to read Harry Potter before they begin reading any principles or any book on law and ethics. Surprised why I refer to this because books like Harry Potter teach ethics even to the youngest children. the values like standing up for the weak and doing the right thing, showing fortitude in times of crisis, and more are the virtues that are presented in books like Harry Potter and can be understood in a lucrative manner. The next steps are the correlation of these values in the stories with the law and society, thereby making the legal principles easy to comprehend.
These methods have earned me praise from many people, so why not give them a try?
Regards,
Sanidhya
