I have been a science technician for over 20 years and I have completed 100,000s of practical experiments, gained results, and evaluated these.

Now it is my turn to share all of that knowledge with you.

Teachers know how to teach science, but I know how to teach practical skills, from planning an experiment using specific equipment, all the way to evaluating results and comparing them.
I can show you alternate methods that could show up in the exam which are the same practical just with different equipment.
The practical is the same, but how you get to the end result with this set of equipment is what students find difficult.

Learning the practical, how they work, and equipment to collect results does not work in exams, because examiners want to test your knowledge of practicals and what the outcome is, not that you know a specific practical and only that, and do not the science and knowledge behind it.
