English and Italian lessons with particular attention to grammar, conversation and speech development

My method is essentially based on grammar and conversation, alternating the two based on the student’s level of fluency. Once the basics are mastered I focus on conversation, especially providing thorough explanation about typical words and expressions and their various acceptations within different contexts. At times I may also add the odd etymology side note when relevant. I also like to use readings upon subjects that are of the student’s interest, as this aids in nurturing their motivation.

Given the transformative and fluid nature of speech, my aim is to deliver an organic learning experience, able to be put to fruition from the start and in everyday life, but that also won’t fail to address the differences between formal and informal interactions. Hence, avoiding inhibit a swift communication in favour of grammatical accuracy.

A second level of my teaching focuses on expanding the student's writing skills and this is aimed to individuals who may have achieved a solid grasp of the basis and a wider knowledge on vocabulary. This is because writing is an art on its own and its objective is to convey one's true thoughts and feelings, therefore it requires a dedicated effort.

Method structure:

• Establish a connection with the pupil by understanding their needs and musical objectives.
• Design a path tailored to the pupil's goals that uses and develops any pre-existing knowledge and skills.
• Teaching the structural basis of the language (alphabet and phonemes).
• Teaching grammar and its application in daily life expressions and contexts.
• Conversation development through daily life subjects and of the pupil’s interest.
• Development of the student’s written skills, along with the appropriate lexicon and
terminology relevant to different contexts.

I can teach in English, Italian and Spanish and the lessons will take place via Zoom.
