I teach English Language and Literature to KS3 and KS4 students

As an experienced teacher, I am organised and plan lessons according to my students' needs. I am able to successfully establish a working relationship between myself and the students I teach.

Experience: I have been a Secondary school English teacher for four years, and have a wealth of experience with both KS3 and KS4 students. I teach the AQA spec at GCSE level, and have taught both language and literature with various classes at KS3.

Education and Qualifications: I hold a Bachelor's degree in English with Creative Writing from Nottingham Trent University. This was followed by my Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Nottingham Trent University.

How the tutor describes their tutoring style: I am a professional and friendly educator with a fantastic track record of GCSE students achieving grades 4-9. English is my passion, and I share that through my enthusiasm when teaching. I believe each child is able to fill their portential, and I can help them reach this. Each child has a different learning style, so I adapt my teaching to the individual's needs, ensuring the child gets the best opportunities to succeed.

Other specialist areas: I have a wide experience of teaching students with various learning difficulties and/or special educational needs.
