I offer a an enjoyable way to learn traditional skills of drawing and painting, art history and theory, and encourage my students to explore, expand and challenge their thinking in content, methods, techniques, materials and processes.

With a Masters Degree in European Contemporary Fine Art Practice and Theory, and a Post-Graduate in Painting from Edinburgh College of Art, I have lectured, tutored and mentored children of all ages, students with special needs, private and group classes.

When I teach, we immerse ourselves in enjoyable and engaging history and theory of art in the Western world from The Renaissance, Modern Art and all the way to the Contemporary period of today. Lessons from these classes offer students a chance to closely examine these artistic movements from different historical periods, and learn about techniques, materials and individual artists.
