I feel very lucky to have had Sue to guide me through my Art studies, with having such an inspiration to follow alongside. From the very beginning Sue encouraged me to explore my creativity and work, with opening up new ways of thinking. Sue’s extensive knowledge of technique, skills and concepts helped me to understand and develop my own personal style. The dedication, patience and belief in my potential was hugely appreciated when I was completing my studies. Mrs Tansley has been a huge help with my creative journey. She helped me find my love of photography and gave me lots of inspiration and support during my exams. She never stops a pupil who wants to express themselves and pushes them to go out of their comfort zone to find something else that they may enjoy. She supports students so much and shows that she cares about them and their goals. Her enthusiasm towards her subject allows the students to feel optimistic and excited towards the subject as well. She can be critical in her feedback but it allows the students to push themselves to do their very best and to constantly improve and work harder. I was very appreciative of her efforts when teaching me and I never felt I couldn’t come to her with any problems. She made her class feel safe and fun and I couldn’t have asked for anything better.
