They say that good food should appeal to all senses. Lets talk about visuals today. Do you know your mundane cheesecake or brownie can look 10x more appealing if you just, put a drop of chocolate sauce on one edge of the plate, use a pastry brush and spread it in a straight line, and sprinkle some crumbs on it? It's so easy and looks so professional.
To make things even easier. Try putting a drop of chocolate sauce and then a heap of crumble over it. Scoop your ice cream of yours and put it next to your main dessert. It will make it look so neat and professional.
Another thing you can do to plate well is using a small bowl, and put cooked rice in it till full. Press it down using a spoon and flatten it. Put a plate over and flip! Voila, you have a restaurant-style plated dish to go with your curry.
To make your chocolate dessert or fried fish look more appetizing, try breaking it with some color. A mint leaf on top or a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
Want an accessory to your plate? Heat a saucepan on medium heat and put one caramel toffee to melt. Let it spread and appear in a circular, golden, shiny texture, flip it, and cook for 30-secs. Use It on the top of ice cream, semifreddo, or a mousse.
Hint for having moist cakes? When they come out of the oven, brush them with some sugar syrup which is made purely with sugar and water. To add more taste to it, leave a star anise or cinnamon in the sugar syrup.
