Advert description
It is my pleasure to introduce myself here, thus it would be useful to mention that I was born in the district of Meherpur in Bangladesh and moved to the UK to live permanently in 2006. As I enjoy working with people, it’ll be a great pleasure to get an opportunity to work with you. I would be happy to contribute to teaching children and developing their English Language skills namely, listening, speaking, reading and writing of students. I can guide students in developing writing skills through conducting small research projects to prepare them for their upcoming course works as well as for their examinations. I can also be a good resource to develop your teachers with the modern techniques of teaching and classroom management. It can be in the form of a one-off short course to cover their immediate or modular-based longer training activities as part of their continuous professional development. I am a motivated, proactive individual with a strong service orientation and high sense of urgency, focused on continuing improvements and striving for excellence. It might be relevant to mention here that during my stay in Bangladesh until 2006, I spent a valuable amount of my time in teaching English to students of different age groups covering secondary to University level. I have worked as an English teacher trainer for 5 years in Bangladesh where I had conducted need assessment and developed number of teachers training materials on the concept of CLT (Communicative Language Teaching). I have successfully trained around 150 secondary English teachers from different districts of Bangladesh. Later I moved to the UK for further study on CLT. As an English teacher and later as a teacher trainer, I have gathered ample knowledge on the different issues in teaching and learning of English in the context of Bangladesh. In my academic life, my first Master's degree was taken in English Literature from the University of Jahangirnagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I obtained my second Master's degree from the University of Brighton in Media-Assisted Language Teaching (MALT/TESOL). In order to gain in-depth knowledge as an English teacher I obtained the CertTESOL (Certificate of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) degree from Trinity College London in the UK. In 2019, I accomplished my PhD in International Education from the University of Brighton, UK.
