Psychology Tutor for A Level students (AQA) and Mentor

Advert description
I am currently in my final year of BSc Psychology at University of Manchester, averaging 2:1.
I achieved grade B at A Level Psychology (AQA).

Currently seeking students who are struggling to achieve their preferred grades, so that I can assist them in unlocking their own potential. As well as a passion for the discipline of psychology, I have mentoring experience and practice with self-reflection and development strategies to help students identify their motivations and utilise them to make studying more enjoyable and easier to set time aside for. I also have awareness and practice with a range of learning resources and techniques, and can help you to discover what works best for you.

At secondary school and sixth form I never really had issues understanding what was taught to me and have always had great interest in a variety of topics, often learning more in my spare time. I grew up being told I was 'naturally clever' and great at explaining concepts to my peers.

So, why did I not achieve higher than a grade B in my favourite A Level topic?
Because, life.

I may have understood everything easily, and I may have helped my peers to understand the content too, but I certainly did not revise enough with going through my own personal problems. In fact, I was lucky to have achieved a grade B considering how little time I gave myself before the exam.

Now 22 and at a Russell Group University, I have learned from my mistakes. It took a long time but, I no longer cram, and I focus on the best learning and memory techniques that work for me (and as research has shown, for the majority of others too).

We can all experience issues at any age. No matter how small they can seem to others, it doesn't change the fact that it can still affect our motivation and our studies. I'm here to help you fulfil your best potential, with training in self-awareness of personal drivers, self-reflection strategies and creating effective action plans to exemplify your learning.

It is very rewarding when I can help others understand complex concepts. I am passionate about helping students to increase their motivation and achieve the best grades. If you feel your grades are currently not reflecting your potential and also need somebody to listen, help you to self-reflect and find your inner motivation, then please contact me.
