The main concern in my lessons is to make them as beneficial as possible.

There are many ways to teach different topics from mathematics or physics. It differs from one person to another. However, it is noticeable throughout my experience as a tutor that many students prefer a problem-solving approach by which you give the problem and solve it. This is want be quite beneficial to the students. So, I would try to give a brief review on some of the concepts that will be used in the problem. Then go through the problem by identifying the variables. During, each task I would prefer to explain it thoroughly and point out to the connection between the theoretical discussion and the practical ones. If the review is not enough for him we could go back discussing previous steps that lead us to this results. There are other approaches that could be implied to explain more advanced topics.
