I'm good with history and English as well, I achieved a grade 6 in English language. I like to look into the details of writing.

It depends what specifically the student wants to learn. If the student wants to learn about English language such as how stories are written then I'd help them to look into the details. If the student wants to better their overall English ability then I'd be happy to help them with their spelling, punctuation, grammar and so on. In order to gain a bit of trust from the student, I think it's best to establish a cordial relationship with them and be a bit informal which may make them feel at ease when learning.
