I am a friendly English tutor with experience teaching drama and 121 English tutoring.

I am skilled in responding to individual learning styles and identifying gaps in knowledge. I have always been patient and understanding of the difficulties students face in essay-based subjects, and am able to focus increasing the student’s understanding of useful techniques in order to build their competence in academic writing at the secondary level. Through my training with GoStudent as well as my own experience as a relatively recent school leaver (I completed my sixth year in 2019), I am also familiar with both English and Scottish national curriculum outcomes and AQA and SQA exam board assessment objectives, and am skilled at targeting specific areas to improve test scores.
