I teach Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology for GCSE, A/S-level, A-level and University

I am Dr. Vidyalakshmi Rajendran (Vidya). I am a Scientist by profession and completed my Ph.D degree (Chemistry) at the International Max-Planck Research School for Living Matters (Dortmund, Germany). I worked at University of Leeds as a Post Doctoral Scientist and at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as an Analytical Scientist. I have nearly ten years’ experience is academic research, which allowed me to nurture my mentoring skills. I have had the opportunity to teach students at the Leeds University and Dortmund University (Germany). I have been tutoring for students for several years. My teaching methodology has always been tailored to the needs of the individual student. Following the initial assessment of the student, I create a teaching strategy based on the curriculum and students' requirements. I have a passion for teaching and very good at delivering thought provoking and interactive lessons. Along with developing the student's subject knowledge, I also focus on broadening their scientific and analytical skills. With my tutoring experience, I have developed a teaching plan, which would including worksheets, past papers and revision. I usually talk to my students' parents periodically and discuss about their child’s progress. Most of my students have secured good grades and express their gratitude to me. I feel proud to be a teacher and mentoring has always been highly rewarding.
