With a strong emphasis on research and art history, I will help you find your lineage in art practice.
I believe in the importance of plein air painting and will guide you through landscapes, portraits, still life, and abstraction, making each area a subject of interest and discovery.

I have been Shizu's student for over a decade, learning not just art but valuable life lessons as well. She was the head teacher at Gwonder, a private school in Asia, where students aged 8 to 17 learned English through arts, theatre, and reading. This school also a cultural hub for the community. Back in 2002, I was just a primary student there. Now, decades later, many of my classmates and I are parents ourselves, and we still keep in touch with Shizu. She knows our parents and children well too. I cannot recommend Shizico Yi more highly. She is not only a remarkable contemporary artist but also a kind and generous person who truly cares for her students beyond the classroom.
