The format of the sessions:

In my lessons, we will introduce and talk through some grammar points and vocabulary, and then put together some practice sentences to help you really understand the concepts. You're free to ask questions at any point, and we can add/remove content if needed to match your learning pace.

Lesson content:

Each session, we will discuss 2/3 new grammar points, and introduce about 50 new words. I will also provide you with digital flashcards to use after each class, so you have the freedom to continue practicing on your own! The topics we cover can be tailored to your interests - this could mean we talk about K-pop, Korean history, or East Asian economics, depending on where your interests lie.

Lesson dynamics:

I want our lessons to be comfortable, so that you feel confident to tell me if you're struggling with something - if a particular style of explanation isn't working for you, we can change it! Language learning should be easy, and I believe that with the right tutor, everyone has the potential to be a great linguist.

My experience:

I have a First Class (Hons) degree in Korean Studies from the University of Sheffield, and I spent a year living in Seoul at studying at Hanyang University as part of my degree. I now work as a professional translator for Korean radio dramas, and I am passionate about making Korean language accessible to more people. The country is experiencing another rapid period of growth, and knowing a second language is an increasingly important skill in today's international society.
