I love personal teaching and use a variety of methods depending on the person and their strengths. Teaching interactively with lots of discussion has produced not only stellar results but significant confidence for school settings and public exams. I coached fellow pupils within my A-Level and GCSE years and after achieving a 9 and an A*, I then tutored younger pupils and shared resources I made and methods to aid their studies. English Literature is Essay based so I also produce sample essays that have achieved top grades and do walkthroughs with them to improve exam techniques which I find is the key to success. Text knowledge and analysis is also a vital part of my teaching as I have found so often it is overlooked and as a fundamental to success, I use a mixture of discussion and scholarly recourses such as journal articles to build a pupils knowledge and confidence within a text. I have also excelled in all other academic areas and subjects meaning I can teach across subjects and use this ability to ensure single subject knowledge is at the highest level possible. I have a passion for not only academia but for people and their success within it. Since a young age, I have always strived to stay up-to-date with current literature and sought out the answers to the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of our world to broaden my understanding and gain appreciation for the interconnected nature of it. As highlighted by my A Levels I have an eclectic taste for education and do not limit myself to one domain of our world.
