Beginners will learn from Chester's Easiest Piano Course books 1 to 3. Christmas carols, birthday song and other familiar tunes will be covered. More advanced students would be learning from Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven and more composers from the classical period. Pop and rock songs via the student's own suggestion will be pursued. I also have a collection of my own sheet music arrangements of pop and rock songs available on Sheet Music Plus which could also be taught. Graded exams from ABRSM would be covered if student wants to, up to Grade 8 Performance exams. Music Theory up to Grade 5 will be covered. Covers tuition of pieces suitable for SQA National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Music exams. Useful apps to retain interest and help learning will be suggested to the student to download.

TLDR: Welcoming, friendly and passionate about the instrument and music in general. Listens to all styles of music. Willing to teach classical, rock and pop standards. Goes at the student's own pace. Willing to assist graded exam preparation and just casual piano lessons for fun.

I have experience of playing piano since I was six years old and have performed at music festivals and competitions in Scotland. Abroad performances at airports have been done before. One wedding piano performance is done. I have had experience teaching family friends and their children, currently looking to expand my client base. I am also currently putting together a CD of piano pieces for sale. Familiar with recording piano on Garageband and Logic Pro X (Apple Macbook programs).
